Refund Policy

Practice minutes are digital credit and they arrive immediately, which is exactly the case where a refund policy has to be plain rather than clever. So: thirty days, no conditions.
If you bought a package within the last 30 days, we will refund it in full. You do not have to give a reason, and it does not matter whether you used the minutes.
That is what makes it a guarantee rather than a return policy. Reading that has been transcribed and analysed cost us real money that does not come back, and we would rather carry that than have you weigh whether trying the thing properly might cost you the refund.
The minutes go back with the money. Your balance is reduced by the amount the package credited, so if you have already spent them it can leave the balance below zero — which means topping up again before your next reading. Nothing else about your account changes, and none of your history is deleted.
If the service failed and took minutes you never got the benefit of, tell us and we will put the balance back. That is a fault, not a refund, and the 30 days do not apply to it.
If minutes you paid for never arrived, we can see the payment on our side. Email us and we will credit them.
Email support@latentstate.dev from the address on your account, and say roughly when you bought and how much it was. We will answer within five working days.
Paddle is the merchant of record, so the refund is made through Paddle and returns to the payment method you used. How long your bank takes after that is between you and your bank — usually a few working days.
Your minute balance is reduced by the minutes being refunded, which is what makes it a refund rather than a gift.
Nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer law where you live.
In the EU and the UK there is normally a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content, which can be lost once delivery begins — and minutes are delivered at once. The 30 days above are longer than that right and are not conditional on it, so in practice you keep a way back for longer than the law requires.
Please ask us first. A chargeback costs us a fee and takes months, and almost everything people raise one for is something we would simply have refunded.
